Harmonium pictures
This harmonium belonged to a small Protestant sect in the Strawberry Beds in Dublin, and has been in my care for 25 years. I would love to find a loving home for it.
The harmonium needs new bellows - the mice ate holes in the oilcloth years ago - but when it played, it had a beautiful tone. It's only for someone who'd love it and play it, though.
Its size is roughly three feet tall, and three feet from left to right, and two-and-a-half feet from front to back.
Its history: it was the accompaniment for the hymns of a small Protestant sect living by the Liffey in the hinterlands of Dublin. I was given it on condition that it would only be passed on to someone who would play it.
It deserves to be loved (as do we all), and would particularly love to be used in avant-garde or traditional music and composition.
